Rekordbox class and SCIFIGHTER events

Happy Tuesday DMI family! My name is Annie and I’ve been entrusted to author DMI’s newsletter. It’s now autumn and event season is in high gear as the weather cools down. I’ve got some exciting events to share with you. =)

Upcoming Events

Wednesday, September 25

SCIFIGHTER is taking over Wub Wednesday at Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa. SCIFIGHTER has been extremely supportive of DMI for many years and always invites us to recommend DJs for their events. The entire lineup is composed of DJs in the DMI community including our graduate SL8R8R and frequent guest teacher T.A.B.U. Get your tickets here.

Monday, September 30

This coming Monday’s DJ class will be all about Rekordbox. We’ll go over what it does and how to get the most out of it for your DJ performances. Our instructors will share their best practices and we invite students to share theirs as well. Questions encouraged!

Friday October 4 – Sunday October 6

SCIFIGHTER is hosting their annual Rave from the Grave camping festival at a new secret location in the Mojave Desert! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get spooky with us. Check us out on the SCIFIGHTER and Inner Observers stages featuring DMI DJs B-Ryde, BChang, Gerbs, Omrán, and Qoloj to name a few. Bring your Halloween costumes and dance your soul away! Tickets available here.

Event Recap – RES•O•NANCE

This past Sunday, September 23rd, one of DMI’s recent summer graduates, Omrán in collaboration with his partner Cristian, brought their dance music vision to fruition with an Organic House Music project called “RES•O•NANCE” nestled in Moro Beach at Crystal Cove, Newport Beach, CA.

The gathering went from the early afternoon until the majestic golden hour. A little bird told me that there may be a DMI event hosted here one day.

Adios!

Thanks for reading folks! In our next edition, we’ll shine a spotlight on some of our recent graduates and get to know them better. As always, make sure you’re a member of our Facebook group to get more frequent updates on events and discussions.

Until next time, Out!
